Sri Dalada Maligawa the temple of the sacred tooth of relic of Buddha, is the main attraction. The annual Esala Perahera is held oin july -August to honer the Scred Tooth Relic of the Buddha and obtain blessings for the country.

Royal Botanical Garden Peradeniya is situated about 5.5 km to west from the city of Kandy in the central province of Sri Lanka and attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is renowned for its collection of a variety of orchids.it includes, spices medicinal plants and palam trees.
Attached to it is the national herbarium. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres at 460meters above sea level and with a 200 day annual rainfall

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an Orphanage nursery and Captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at pinnawala village.13km northwest of kegalle town is sabaragamuwa province of Sri Lanka.
Pinnawala is notable for having the largest herd captive elephant in the world.in 2011 there were 88 elephants, including 37 males and 51 females from 3 generational, living Pinnawala.
